Arthur Motch leads Sustainable Income’s investment team and oversees all investment-related activities. He has experience building and managing credit businesses, analyzing credit, performing due diligence and structuring and closing private transactions. Arthur advises a $100 million plus family office. Arthur is a Partner in Auriga Holdings and served as FINOP of Auriga USA LLC, Auriga’s affiliated broker-dealer. He was previously an officer of The Winter Group, where he served as CFO of the mortgage due diligence subsidiary, Edison Mortgage Decisioning Solutions, which provided due diligence and quality control services on over $10 billion of residential mortgage assets. Arthur has extensive structured finance experience and has held positions at Deutsche Bank, DB Zwirn & Co., and Lehman Brothers. He received a B. A. from Dartmouth College.

Principal - Chief Operating Officer
 

John Lott began his career in 1991 in the consumer loan business for ITT Financial Services.  John held officer level positions for PHH Corp. and the current Realogy Corp.  In 2004, he was recruited to Global Motorsport Group as SVP of Corporate Development, became President and COO, and then CEO of the motorcycle parts company with $225 million in revenue.  He led the company through a restructuring where Cerberus Capital Management became controlling equity holder and then joined The Winter Group’s investment banking group, being promoted to CFO.  John then joined Cerberus as Head of Accounting, until his selection as CFO and COO of product development company Quirky, Inc.  During his tenure it completed an A2 investment of $6 million led by RRE and a B round of $16 million led by Norwest Venture Partners.  John co-founded Mentoris Capital Partners, LLC in 2012.  He received an MBA from Cornell University and a BA in Economics from Rutgers University.

Principal - Deal Sourcing

Dan Byrd is an experienced legal and policy professional, beginning his career as a corporate environmental attorney. Dan subsequently joined a hedge fund as senior analyst, as well as director of legal and regulatory affairs. He went on to join the consulting firm BCS Inc. as policy advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Manufacturing Office, and then served as a VP at Auriga Holdings, where he was responsible for leading the firm’s research into new investment sectors and deal sourcing. Dan received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. from Yale University in environmental science, and a J.D. from Rutgers University.

John Kallassy brings leadership in marketing, finance, and operations, and has innovated in the fields of investment banking, human medical device, animal health, and technology. Prior to joining Sustainable Income, Mr. Kallassy was CFO and COO of Jaguar Animal Health. Before taking on that role he was the President and co-founder of the investment bank I-Bankers Direct. Prior to I-Bankers he was the Chief Executive Officer of Zargis Medical Corp., where he led the development and global launch of a medical device that was awarded “2009 Product of the Year” by Popular Science magazine. In April 2011, Mr. Kallassy sold Zargis’ technology to 3M Corp. Mr. Kallassy studied pharmacology and biochemistry at the University of Leeds in England, holds a degree in biology from the State University of New York and received an MBA from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.

Scott Ferguson brings over 25 years’ experience in sourcing and funding loans.  Before joining Sustainable Income, he held key roles working with several venture capital firms including Trenton West Capital and several tech startups including Digital Caddies Inc. As the founder and President of Gold Canyon Mortgage, a private money commercial lender based in Scottsdale Arizona, Scott successfully penetrated the commercial lending market during a highly competitive time. Scott has expertise in sourcing and funding all types of loans including real estate, equipment, receivables, purchase orders, construction, development, DIP, and solar financing.

Investment Analyst

Abigail Agwunobi joins us as a financial analyst from Dartmouth College. Abigail began her professional career in the finance division of Powell Tate in Washington D.C., learning some of the key foundations of accounting and corporate finance. Once back on campus in New Hampshire, Abigail joined the team at Vocate, a technology driven services platform, where she spearheaded and analysed numerous marketing campaigns while aiding in both product development and operations. Abigail expects to receive her B.A in Economics and Studio Art with honors and a minor in Environmental Studies in the spring of 2018.
